Linda Thayer is Vice President for Educational Affairs at Massachusetts Citizens for Life.

From 1970 to 2004, Linda taught science in the Boston Public Schools. Her pro-life activism grew out of her science background, having seen images of prenatal development as an undergraduate student, she also began to realize that students in general were not being told the truth about life before birth.

In the fall of 1982, Linda began what became her “pro-life/pro-marriage ministry” to Confirmation candidates in the greater Boston, MA area. Linda’s Respect for Life program combines the witness of how she became pro-life, beautiful images of prenatal development, a summary of the teachings of the Catholic Faith and awareness of pregnancy help resources. Linda’s Vocation of Love program combines a vision of God’s plan for love and marriage with witness and practical information which young people may not be receiving in the pubic schools. By the grace of God, these programs have been presented to nearly a quarter of a million young people over the course of the last 35 years.

Linda is happy to visit additional parishes and schools to present Respect for Life and the Vocation of Love to grades 8 and above. She can be contacted through either the Respect Life Education office of the Archdiocese of Boston or Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
