Katrina Gallic joined the March for Life in May 2018 as the Special Assistant for Communications, managing the March for Life’s social media accounts and providing assistance to the March for Life President, Jeanne Mancini.

Katrina recently graduated from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota with a Bachelor’s in Marketing. While at the University of Mary, she was highly involved in student organizations, including FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), as well as worked in the university’s Department of Public Affairs. The University of Mary led the 2016 March for Life and Katrina had the honor of speaking on behalf of the University of Mary at the March for Life Rally.

Katrina currently lives in Washington DC and is a proud member of the pro-life generation!

Tom Shakely serves as Chief Engagement Officer at Americans United for Life, responsible for brand, communications, and development.

Tom previously served as Executive Director of the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network; their Crisis Lifeline serves patients and families facing denial of basic care and strives to awaken the conscience on human dignity and bioethical issues.

Tom is a member of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities and the Knights of Columbus, as well as a Sons of the American Revolution life member, a National Review Institute Washington fellow, a Leonine Forum fellow, and a Charlotte Lozier Institute guest contributor. Tom serves as a board member for the Mount Nittany Conservancy as well as the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia, and is a past member of Archbishop Charles J. Chaput’s Archdiocesan Pastoral Council in Philadelphia.

Tom holds a B.A. in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University and a Certificate with Distinction from the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Health Care Ethics, and has written for National Review Online, National Catholic Register, HuffPost, and other nationally recognized media.

Rev. Dean Nelson serves as the Chairman of the Board for The Frederick Douglass Foundation. He is a sought-after speaker, giving frequent interviews on ABC and NBC affiliate networks in the Washington, D.C. area. He has appeared on the 700 Club, CBN News, and MSNBC, as well. And he is a frequent guest on Christian radio programs, including the Bott Radio Network and American Family Radio.

Dean is also the National Outreach Director for Human Coalition, working out of the Washington, D.C. area. He brings more than 20 years of demonstrated success directing nonprofit organizations and with an emphasis on urban strategies, grassroots organization, and national leadership training.

Dean has worked for major pro-life and Christian organizations, including Global Outreach Campus Ministries and Care Net, where he managed an annual budget of more than $1 million. As part of the Wellington Boone Ministries’ senior strategic planning team, Dean helped plant ministries in capital cities such as Richmond, Virginia; Atlanta, Georgia; Raleigh, North Carolina; and the greater Washington, D.C. area. And United Way recognized him for his work in bringing people together for a common cause.

Dean is a licensed minister from Salem Baptist Church in Marshall, Virginia, and an ordained pastor with Wellington Boone Ministries. He holds a BA in Rhetoric and Communication from the University of Virginia, and he completed post-graduate work at Coverdell Leadership Institute and Leadership Institute Campaign School.

He and his wife Julia have three children and live in Maryland.
